The tax and identity theft problems continue for employees of the former SNE Company in Mosinee years after a potential security breach.
Just this week Rothschild Police say a former employee received a tax refund check in the mail for more than $900 despite not yet having filed his tax return for the year.
It turns out that someone else filed the man's taxes and the refund check was sent to his house.
This isn't the first time this year that local police departments have had complaints about tax problems from SNE employees.
"It seems like its an ongoing issue and from other victims that we have had in the past, they have told them that it would probably be several years before they would have this resolved. " says Capt. Kevin Ostrowski.
Rothschild Police say they have also seen tax fraud complaints from other residents not affiliated with SNE over the past month.
They urge anyone who feels there is something suspicious with their taxes to contact local law enforcement.
