The Northwoods Wildlife Center has begun accepting entries for their 8th annual photo contest and gala.
Photo entries will be accepted through February 10th in four different categories: North American Wildlife, Nature, Pets, and Youth. Prize money is awarded to the winner in each category. The top three winners in each category will be mailed a certificate, and each of the first place winners will receive prize money.
Each photo entry fee is $10; which will go to help NWC further carry out its mission to educate, rehabilitate and research the wonderful wildlife of Wisconsin! Please mail or drop off your entries to Northwoods Wildlife Center, 8683 S. Blumenstein Rd, Minocqua, Wi 54548.
The gala will be held at the Campanile Center for the Arts in Minocqua; on Saturday February 23rd (6-8pm).
Disclaimer: This is an amateur photo contest; you must not make more than 25 precent of your annual income from photography.
The entry photo(s) must be in a white, cream, or beige 11” x 14” mat with 7.5” x 9.5” inner dimension (fitting an 8x10 photo). Uniform entries are the only way to ensure fair, unbiased judging which is done by all those who attend the Gala.
Each entry must have your first and last name, photo category, address, phone number, and name of your picture (write on back of photo). Photos will not be returned and NWC will not be held responsible for the condition of your photo after the Photo Gala event, and will not ship your photo back to you.
