Students Learn About Wood Technology Careers

Its an industry that has always been vital to Northcentral Wisconsin, and now Northcentral Technical College is trying to attract a new generation to the wood technology industry.

High school students from nine area schools got to learn from current NTC students today about the equipment at their Wood Technology Center in Antigo.

The students got hands on demos and even got to make coasters which they could take home with them.
The school showed off how high tech their equipment is.
Its something one student says attracted him to attend NTC.

"Even in Antigo our school had quite the impressive shop, but as soon as you walk through the doors in here it is a warehouse just full of all this crazy, awesome machinery." says NTC student Ben Kryka

This is the second time NTC has held their Wood Technology Day.
