The Wausau/Central Wisconsin Convention & Visitor Bureau is inviting residents to drop off new or gently used coats, sweaters, hats, mittens and other warm clothing items as part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s “The Big Bundle Up” campaign.
“The Big Bundle Up” is a statewide collection program running Nov. 18, 2013 – Jan. 4, 2014.
This is the third year of the program. Last year’s program collected more than 17,000 winter items to help warm up families in need.
The Visitor Center located at 219 Jefferson Street is one of several drop off locations. All items donated at that location will be given to The Neighbor’s Place.
Visit TravelWisconsin.com for a full listing of donation sites.
