As more winter weather heads our way, it may be easier to take knowing that we are roughly a month, if not weeks away from spring.

Our meteorologists say a storm tomorrow and early next week may not be the last blasts of winter we may encounter, but its close.

Breaking the winter weather pattern that’s settled over the continent doesn’t happen overnight, but the change is on its way.

NewsChannel 7 Meteorologist, Chad Franzen told us, “As we head into the next several weeks, the winter weather patter has to still be broken down. We still may see periods of snow and cold with a mix of things come March.”

With the chances of snow brings the probability of snow days. Districts around the area have them built in. However, should they have too many snow days, administrators must complete all instruction hours by adding make up school days or adding minutes on to the end of each school day.
