Sports Illustrated, ESPN and The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel are among the news outlets reporting the Wisconsin Badgers have hired Gary Andersen as their next football coach.

Andersen reportedly interviewed with Athletic Director Barry Alvarez on Tuesday afternoon. Sports Illustrated also reported that Alvarez interviewed at least two other candidates for the job before hiring Andersen.

He led Utah State to an 11-2 record this season and 6-0 WAC.

You may recall the Aggies almost upset the Badgers in Madison in week three this season before the Badgers came back to win the game 16-14.

Andersen's interview came after Utah State's 41-15 blowout of Toledo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 15.

Former Wisconsin coach Brett Bielema left the job for the same position at Arkansas.
