Schofield Woman out nearly $1,000 in 'Mystery Shopper' Scam

The Everest Metro Police Department says a Schofield woman is out nearly $1,000 after falling victim to a mystery shopper scam.

Police say they received the report on August 7. The woman said she received a $970 money order which she deposited. The victim says the instructions stated to send in a $704 dollar money order, which she did.
Police say she is out $970 after the original money order proved to be fraudulent.
