Rookie Perry Out for the Season

Packers rookie linebacker Nick Perry's season is over after the team placed him on injured reserve on Wednesday.

Perry had surgery on his wrist recently, which he initially injured in the season opener against San Francisco. He also suffered a knee injury against Houston.

In his rookie campaign, he had 2 sacks and 18 tackles in 6 games, 5 starts. He was the team's first round pick in the 2012 draft.

In a corresponding move, the Packers activated tight end Andrew Quarless from the PUP list.

PACKERS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES

The Green Bay Packers activated TE Andrew Quarless from reserve/physically unable to perform and placed LB Nick Perry (wrist) on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Quarless, a 6-foot-4, 252-pound third-year player out of Penn State, appeared in 23 games with five starts for Green Bay in 2010-11.

Perry played in six games with five starts this season and posted 29 tackles (18 solo) and two sacks.
