Protesters armed with bullhorns and signs lined the streets outside the Super Walmart in Monona as shoppers made their way into the store Thursday night.
According to WMTV-TV, having employees work on Thanksgiving or Black Friday isn't one of the main issues for the protesters. The biggest issues for the protesters are wages and benefits. They claim workers don't get enough of either.
Karen Wood says, " It is just unjust and morally and ethically wrong that all of these people have to be surviving the way that they are. "
After the rally protesters made their way to the store's front door to hand deliver a letter outlining their complaints. They were met by a store employee and told he'd pass their letter along to corporate.
The protesters did eventually make their way off the store's property. Many saying they wouldn't spend another dime at Walmart.
