A police chase on Wausau's West side ends in suspicion. Late Thursday night Wausau Police attempted to stop what they're calling a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Flieth Street and 11th Avenue. The driver of the blue Jeep Cherokee did not stop and when police pursued, the driver crashed into a fence on the corner of Flieth Street and Park Boulevard. The driver also hit a sign post and a mailbox before ditching the SUV and running from the scene. According to the police the driver was not found. Shortly after the pursuit, a burglary was reported nearby in the 1100 block of South 5th Avenue. No word yet on whether the two incidents were in fact related.
