One person is in critical condition after an ATV crash in Adams County.
According to a news release from the Rome Police Department, officers were called to Meadow Lane at Campfire Road for an all-terrain vehicle crash at 8:41 Friday night. Authorities say they found an injured man on the ground near an ATV. He's identified as Brandon Witt, 40, of the Town of Rome. He was transported to a Marshfield hospital by helicopter and was listed in critical condition.
Officers say they talked with some witnesses on scene who said they came upon the crash and had spoken with another man who was involved in the crash. Authorities say that man had left the scene on foot.
Authorities say Witt was not wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation by the Town of Rome Police Department.
