One person dead after single vehicle crash in Town of Cranmoor

One person is dead after a one vehicle crash in the Town of Cranmoor.

The driver has been identified as 66-year-old, James L. Dorshorst of Wisconsin Rapids.

The Wood County Sheriff's Office said the vehicle was westbound on STH 54 when it failed to negotiate the "S" curve and entered a ditch. The vehicle overturned onto its side and struck a tree. The driver of the vehicle was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle. Cause of the crash is still under investigation but speed is not believed to be a factor.
