A Saint Germain man is in custody Monday night after a short high speed chase.
The State Patrol says a Trooper pulled the 54-year-old over on Northbound Interstate 39 by Casimir Road. After obtaining ID from him, he pulled away leading to a chase that reached 100-miles an hour.
It went 10 miles until the driver eventually slowed down and left his car by Hwy DB, but Troopers say he refused to listen to their commands.
Finally he was taken into custody. That's when officers also treated the man for what appeared to be a self-inflicted knife wound to the neck.
