Some area students may have a new place to swim in the near future. The 42-year-old pool at Medford Senior High School could undergo a renovation.
Administrators say the school board will make a decision by the end of the month. The public will then decide whether or not to go forward.
They say renovating could cost up to $1.5 million. This includes installing new gutters, adding deck space, replacing pool mechanical equipment and improving diving conditions.
They say the school's locker rooms could also be renovated in the near future.
The pool is still in use at the school.
