MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A Milwaukee mother has been sentenced to five years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed one daughter and seriously injured another.
The judge on Friday also said 27-year-old Brandy Allen will be on six years of extended supervision when she gets out of prison.
According to the complaint, Allen slammed into a parked semitrailer early on Dec. 26.
Ten-year-old Brianna Johnson, who was riding in the front seat, was killed. Five-year-old Jahanyuh Allen-Stanback, who was in a booster seat in the rear, was seriously injured.
A blood test showed Allen had a blood alcohol content of 0.107 percent. Wisconsin's legal limit is 0.08 percent.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Allen pleaded guilty in April to homicide and injury while driving with a prohibited alcohol content.
