Area children in need will sleep cozy this Christmas, thanks to some giving students.

Second through 5th graders from Holy Rosary Catholic School in Medford delivered 278 pairs of pajamas to the YWCA of Wausau today. It was part of the national charity The Pajama Program. By the end of the week, staff with the child development center will hand out the sleepwear to 200 kinds as a surprise holiday gift.

"I think it's important that every child feel good as they lay their head down to go to sleep," said Susan Krolow with the YWCA.

The left over 78 pairs will go to children at the Women's Community in Wausau. Scholastic is also donating a book for each child as part of the program.
