The Vernon County Sheriff's Department is investigating a one-vehicle crash that left an elderly man dead.
According to WEAU-TV, Gordon Morris, 74, of Desoto, lost control while traveling on Highway 82 in the Town of Sterling, and struck a tree. Deputies say Morris was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
Deputies say the cause of the accident might have been medical related.
