It’s an annual summertime event that draws hundreds in Wisconsin Rapids. “Lunch by the River” is every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Veterans Park in Wisconsin Rapids.
Krista Coon from the Heart of Wisconsin organization says, “It started out as a leadership program and something to utilize the river and our beautiful downtown and a way for people to get involved.”
Each week is sponsored by a different business and features food and entertainment.
Organizers say it's something they look forward to each summer. “Lunch by the River” runs until August.
