Local Woman Runs 120 Miles for Treyden Kurtzweil

For many of us running a marathon seems challenging, but imagine running a marathon four and a half times in a row. That's exactly what one local woman is doing to help a family honor the memory of their son.

Barb Klinner is running 120 miles for Treyden Kurtzweil. The 1-year old Stratford boy lost his life to a rare form of Leukemia just days after his first birthday in June.

Klinner left Weston at 5:00 am Saturday morning, Her plan is to run 60 miles towards Green Bay on the Mountain Bay Trail and then all the way back. If you do the math, that's 10 miles for each of the 12 months Treyden lived.

"I have no doubt that I'll cross that finish line some time on Sunday and that yes, this will be a very heartfelt endeavor for sure," Klinner tells NewsChannel 7.

All the money Klinner raises will go towards Treyden's Cabin which will be a beautiful pediatric oncology family waiting room at the Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield.
