Some hungry shoppers in Wausau had to wait nearly an hour for their meat Monday morning.
The line was out the door at TownLine Market as people came to buy their turkeys, pork chops and prime ribs.
"We were waiting for about 35 minutes," said Kronenwetter resident Judy Meyer. "We were fortunate enough to get in before the line formed on the outside. But we're excited about Christmas and having our dinner. And the good news is, everything was still in stock!"
Many shoppers came for the Christmas Eve deals. Despite the crowd, Meyer says everyone was enjoying the atmosphere.
"We met a whole new group of neighbors," she said. "Some from Kronenwetter, some from Wausau. But it was really pretty exciting. Everybody's in good spirits and laughing about the fact that they should have come yesterday."
