Lincoln County Crime Stoppers Celebrates 15th Anniversary

A program dedicated to fighting crime with an anonymous tip line is celebrating its 15th anniversary this December.

Crime Stoppers is a way for citizens to help officers in Lincoln County solve crimes.

If the tip ends with an arrest , a cash reward is made to the tipster.
In the past 15 years, the tips have resulted in 187 arrests, the recovery of more than $71,000 in property, and the seizure of drugs valued at $2,800.

"We work very closely with law enforcement in order to keep our program relevant and also looking for helpful tips from our community in order to solve crimes," says Lincoln County Crime Stoppers President Betsy Wiesneski.

If you have a tip you can call Lincoln County Crime Stoppers at (715) 536-3726.
