Mid-State Technical College Correctional Club is selling key chains in honor of a deputy injured in the line of duty. Cost is a suggested donation of $5 with proceeds benefitting Deputy Todd Johnson.
Deputy Johnson of the Adams County Sheriff's Department was shot at a property in Big Flats while investigating suspicious activity with another officer last month. The suspect died of self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Johnson was released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

The deputy, Todd Johnson, injured in the shooting on Feb. 19 in Adams County was released from the hospital on Friday, according to a hospital spokesperson.

A spokesperson for St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield confirms the suspect in an Adams County shooting has died. He's been identified as Thomas Costigan, 55. There is no word on the condition of the sheriff's deputy, 43-year old Todd Johnson. Both were taken to the hospital after the shooting Tuesday evening.

According to a press release from the Adams County Sheriff's Department, a 52-year-old woman reported missing by the West Allis Police Department was found at the residence unharmed.
The Adams County Deputy and Town of Rome Police Officer were also not aware of the domestic violence incident reported by the West Allis PD.

The incident may involve a missing woman from West Allis, near Milwaukee. West Allis Police say an unnamed 52-year-old went missing after "marital and domestic incidents."
Officials in Adams County were sent to a a location the couple frequents in that area and a shooting that matches the Big Flats incident resulted.
Press Release from the West Allis Police Department:
On 02/19/13 at approximately 5:54 PM, the West Allis Police Department was notified of a person missing under suspicious circumstances. Investigation revealed that a 52 year old female from West Allis was missing from a residence in the 9800 block of W. Vigo Terrace since noon that date.
Officers received information that the female and her 55 year old spouse had recent marital and domestic incidents resulting in a no contact order being in place and that she may be with him in an unknown location under unknown circumstances.
Based on the situation described to officers, other law enforcement agencies were alerted that she was missing and may be endangered. Information was received that the family has a location in Adams Friendship that they frequent and a request was sent to law enforcement in that jurisdiction to check for them and on the welfare of the female involved.
Our agency was informed that an officer in the Adams Friendship area located the people in question and an incident occurred resulting in an officer being injured and the male suffered a gunshot wound.
The circumstances in Adams are referred to the law enforcement agencies investigating in that jurisdiction for any further comment and information.
The complete circumstances and events that occurred in West Allis are still under investigation by the detective bureau at the West Allis Police Department.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department is confirming the law enforcement officer shot Tuesday evening is a sheriff's deputy.
According to a press release, the deputy and another person were taken to a trauma center via helicopter.
The release says the deputy and a Town of Rome police officer were responding to a report of suspicious activity in a home when they made contact with a male subject inside.
Shots were fired and both the deputy and male found inside were struck by gunfire.
Earlier reports say the incident happened on 10th Ave. in the Town of Big Flats, north of Adams Friendship.
The State Department of Criminal Investigation has been called in to investigate.
