A 21-year-old man that died after he was run over while lying on the road on County Highway A in Lake Delton has been identified as Michael Weatherford.
On Thursday morning around 4:40 a.m., Lake Delton Police received a call saying one person has been injured after being run over by a car. Upon arrival responders found the victim lying in the roadway critically injured.
The vehicle and driver were also still at the scene.
The victim was treated at the scene, but succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.
Alcohol use is suspected as a contributing factor in this incident.
