Kitchens and Baths Most Popular Rooms to Remodel
When it comes to remodeling a home, kitchens and bathrooms are the most popular rooms to overhaul.
Elizabeth Wadzinski, owner of Wad's Woodworks in Wausau says people want better function, counter top space, and storage in their kitchens. They want it to serve as a social hub -- a place where kids can do their homework while parents prepare food.
She say more people are willing to put money down on remodels.
"Many are finding that staying where they are at and staying in the neighborhood that they like is worth investing in the house and making it fit their lifestyle," she says.
She says when remodeling bathrooms, people are more willing to do something with a "wow" factor -- such as add in a unique sink or counter top.
