The 400 Block in Wausau will be rocking tonight as American Idol Season 2 finalist Josh Gracin is set to perform a free concert.
Josh Gracin will take the stage at 8:00pm Saturday night, as part of "Rock The 400 Block" put on by Mid-Wisconsin Beverage Inc.
His concert will be the grand finale in a series of free performances that began early Saturday afternoon.
People were already out setting up thier chairs at 10:00am Saturday morning.
All in hopes of securing a prime spot to watch names like The Lucas Cates Band, Whitehouse Players and Joe E.
Event organizers say they're happy to see The 400 block being used the way it was intended to be.
"We think the city can put on major concerts in downtown Wausau. So this is the first in what, we hope, will be many concerts of this kind." Marketing Director of Mid-Wisconsin Beverage Inc., Thom Hirsch, told Newschannel 7.
Many of the local bands in Saturday's lineup agree.
Saying, they love perfomring in Wausau because the people are so supportive and really make it fun.
Local business owners are also excited to see a huge crowd that utilizes their services, as the concert is expected to draw thousands into the area.
Event organizers say they're not sure what to expect for turnout, as this is the first concert of its kind in Wausau.
But they do say attendance could be anywhere from 2,500 to 10,000 people.
