Besides the new developments Friday in the Dale Meister cold case, another Wood County cold case is getting a fresh look.
Wood County Sheriff Thomas Reichert tells NewsChannel 7 a search warrant was obtained last week to collect DNA from a suspect in the 1984 murder of Eleanore Roberts.
Chief Reichert says there is no new evidence, but new technology could provide new clues in the case.
It's been 28 years since the body of Roberts was discovered at her Saratoga home. Investigators say she had been stabbed to death. Her son, Darrell found the body.
Darrell has since died. It was his dying wish to bring his mother's killer to justice.
Eventually, police zeroed in on a suspect, but never had enough evidence to charge him.
No one is in custody in connection to Roberts' murder at this time.
