Police officers across southeast Wisconsin are paying their respects to the Wauwatosa officer killed on active duty earlier this week.

Officer Jennifer Sebena was found dead of multiple gunshots early Monday morning while she patrolled streets of suburban Milwaukee. Her husband has been charged in the death.

Sebena's funeral was set for Saturday at noon in nearby Brookfield.
Law enforcement officers from around the area are offering their support. Some are attending the funeral and others are providing an escort for the procession. Others will be covering for Wauwatosa officers who at the funeral.

The 30-year-old Sebena was in her second year with Wauwatosa police.

The criminal complaint against her husband says she told a colleague her husband had put a gun to her head earlier this month.

A Wauwatosa Police Officer found dead on Christmas Eve appears to have been the victim of domestic violence.

According to WDJT-TV, who obtained a copy of the criminal complaint against Jennifer Sebena's husband, Ben, he admits to investigators he was jealous of other men being around his wife.

Ben Sebena of Menomonee Falls was charged Thursday with first-degree intentional homicide and remains behind bars on a $1,000,000 cash bond.

Officers found Jennifer Sebena's body early Monday after she failed to respond to radio calls during her solo patrol. She'd been shot several times.

According to the criminal complaint, Jennifer told a fellow officer she was the victim of domestic abuse. She said her husband put a gun to her head. The criminal complaint says this admission by Jennifer took place on or about December 6th.
