UPDATE: 5/15 at 4:13 p.m.
One person is without a home after a fire that also scorched 15-acres of woods in Adams County.
Town of Big Flats Fire Chief Dick Meyers says it was reported at about 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
A mobile home, garage and an outbuilding were destroyed. The resident of the home managed to escape.
Four fire departments and the DNR battled the flames.
The chief says they contained it in about an hour and a half, but kept a crew at the scene overnight to make sure it didn't spark again.
The chief says the wind was whipping as they started fighting the flames but then died down, helping their effort.
The cause is under investigation, but not considered suspicious.
