Mosinee Group Collects Supplies for East Coast Victims

The Mosinee Area Action Club (MAAC) began filling up a semi-trailer Tuesday with supplies for victims of superstorm Sandy in New Jersey. The trailer is currently at Charlies Hardware, but will head to New Jersey on November 18.

James Hansford, a member of the Mosinee Area Action Club says, “It's all going to a food bank. The community food bank of New Jersey serves 300 food pantries, so they will disperse this as soon as we can get it to them."

The group is asking for help collecting non-perishable food, infant supplies, cleaning supplies, blanket, and personal care items.

There are several drop off locations including Charlie's Hardware, Mountview Mobile in Rib Mountain, Kronenwetter Municipal Center, all Mosinee churches, Kafka Granite Company (550 E. Hwy 153, Mosinee), and Burnett Transit (556 Beaver Road, Mosinee).

Roehl Transport of Marshfield is providing the semi-trailer, the driver, and all the necessities to get to the east coast.

Recorded information about the project is available at (715) 693-3833.
