GOP Senate Leader Says 3 Recalls Will Proceed

The Republican leader of the state Senate says he expects recall elections to proceed against three of his colleagues, despite challenges they have made to thousands of signatures on petitions seeking their ouster from office.

Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said Friday he is hopeful, though, that his election can be blocked through the challenges he made to the Government Accountability Board on Thursday.

Fitzgerald was the only one of the four who clearly challenged more than enough signatures to void an election.

But whether to reject the signatures is up to the GAB. Its deadline for deciding is March 19.

The other senators are Pam Galloway of Wausau, Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls and Van Wanggaard of Racine.

This is just another example of a career politician using any means to stay in office. The people that he currently represents deserve the right to recall him as they are the ones that voted him in. It is all about ACCOUNTABILITY, something they are preaching regarding education. An analogy, what happens if the teacher is not doing very well in the classroom she was assigned? Can she switch classrooms midyear to avoid the failure in the classroom she taught in? Sorry Senator, your students are recalling you!

Much more to the AP story. Read the full story. Despite being told not to use his new "redistrict lines", he tries to challenge signatures in that manner anyways. Wasting the people of Wisconsins time and money.

Claiming it should use the new districts? Did he want lines drawn to protect his current job that he knew was in severe jeopardy (by the district that elected him)? Think anyone said so in private discussions between the Republicans & their law firm hired to do the legislators' jobs as a whole? Handling the maps officially themselves would have required open meetings, open records, and minority party involvement? Proactively signed confidentiality to try to prevent or legislators' involvement in the subsequent legal proceedings (according to their own lawyers)? Even still, I believe he's the only one of the 4 that's announced he's applying for a new government job before his existing term is done. Sounds to me like desperation to keep a paycheck on the taxpayers' dime... Ouch!

Sinse Fitzgerald has a record of only making one true statement in his career who beleives him anyway. Only a fool would beleive him. When he snitched out Walker for union busting scheme and it was exposed as a national plan created in Colorado to take out Obama. Who cares about bankrupting the state. Take Grover Norqusit check and live happily ever after your now rich. Who cares he sold out the people of Wisconsin for personal gain just like his dog Scooter.

Is the Titanic sinking? Today another hole punched in the sinking ship. Walker and his Republicans now took money from the poor. He is taking his share from the forecloser payments first. He said to use it to help the budget, but didn't he say before his budget was not in the red? Which time do you people believe? Walker is talking once more out of both sides of his mouth. This time a large amount of poor will suffer.
