Dozens of young artists and their parents are invited to the fourth-annual Family Fest this week at the Woodson Art Museum in Wausau.
The event is free and no registration is required. Families can just stop by. The event features printmaking with different mediums each day, Tuesday through Thursday, August 19 - 21, and launches with an expanded Toddler Tuesday morning program.
Printmaking is the theme for this year's Family Fest, which encourages families to practice healthy habits together: art making and museum visiting, as well as being outdoors, exercising, and eating well. Drop by during regular Museum hours, Tuesday through Thursday, August 19 - 21, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., to explore different print mediums during Print Palapalooza:
· Tuesday, August 19: shaving cream
· Wednesday, August 20: vegetables and flowers
· Thursday, August 21: Styrofoam
Family Fest kicks off on Tuesday, August 19, and includes an Extra-Terrific Toddler Tuesday, 10:30 a.m.-Noon, when little ones, 18 months-4 years, siblings and accompanying adults sample art-making and family yoga led by River Flow Yoga instructor Mary Hilliker.
The Woodson Art Museum is located at Franklin and 12th Streets in Wausau.
