Democrats Say GOP Recall Challenges Won't Stand

Democrats say challenges to thousands of signatures submitted on petitions to recall four incumbent Republican state senators won't stand and the elections will be ordered.

State Senate Democratic Committee executive director Zac Kramer said Friday that a cursory review of the challenges filed late Thursday by the senators shows they won't meet the threshold needed to stop the elections.

The senators submitted their challenges with the Government Accountability Board. Petition circulators have until Tuesday to make their own counter-arguments. The board has until March 19 to determine if enough signatures were collected to trigger elections.

The targeted senators are Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau, Pam Galloway of Wausau, Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls and Van Wanggaard of Racine.

Mitch do you support tax payers paying the education and support of all the extra children. I figure you must as you do not believe in paying for birth control. Think of all the extra costs, education, school lunches, school busing, food stamps and everything related to these additional children. You must be living in a make believe world. I for one would rather prevent these costs if at all possible.

I signed the petition to get rid of Scott Walker, not the GOP of which I am proud to be a member of. Walker does not represent the Republican views I believe in. His actions are driven by a national extreme right agenda that is destroying this country and leading Republicans astray with promises of a return to power - at what expense. This is not about the average person, it is about money, money that buys decisions that affects us all - negatively in our communities. Why is he in other states raising funds to fight Wisconsinites? Is it he cannot rely on his Wisconsin base as they have seen what his actions have done to this State? Ask yourself if you can take 3 more years of this - I cannot!

With all the Walker bashing, how come the local papers or networks never reported about what I believe was reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sential. It was that they checked out 500 signatures and 15% were dual or falseified. This I heard on the radio.

The Koch brothers backed Herman Cain. He failed...small change lost to oil billionaires that simply take more out of our bill folds at the gas stations. And they backed another guy out of the same mold...Scott Walker. Of course, if they get one pawn in office every so often, they can reward their buddies with multimillions and shape social policy. It only requires enough folk to believe their stories, elect these tools, and sell our future down the drain.

Hey south of the city, you must be poor since you think Walker is stealing from you. I wonder if Doyle ever stole from you. Walker wins in a landslide election this summer. People are sick and tired of free loaders.

Bill, The fat cats own 90% of the country and many of them are paying about 14% effective tax rates. When you say your tired of freeloaders, you must mean that you are a Democrat, as those guys are the biggest freeloaders.

Bill first off the news comes out with a new story about Walker each day. These stories are causing harm to his reputation. No one can believe that he can tread water much longer. Look at him taking money ear marked for forclosure people, then he is up to his neck in lawyers and probes, then he doesn't know if there is a budget shortfall or not. The news coming out is killing him. This guys is like a yo-yo he is all over the place with no direction. I believe people will see him for what he is. He can not look stupid forever in the eyes of the voter! They will vote him out. Only people with a pipe dream keep backing such a fool!

Pam Galloway votes the party line and does not think for herself. Her votes are rubber stamps of the National Agenda Walker is committed to because of who supports him. This is not a representative we want in Madison.

Seidel is trying to sneak in the back door in these recalls. All she does is vote to raise taxes to try and fix every shortfall, never trying to make legitimate cuts. She is for killing unborn babies, she voted against voter ID, against conceal carry and against the mining bill which would create thousands of good paying jobs. She does not back marriage between a man and a woman. Take a look at her voting record, these are not the values we want in a representative in Madison.

So Jim you support harrasement invasion of privacy? So you are pro privatization of Wisconsin. So you enjoy harrassing gays and lesbians. And you support a pro terrorism of women when they need to get check ups and. So what is it to you when a woman decides to make this decision? This maybe what you want, but you don't speak for everyone Jim you speak for yourself. I have a better idea Jim since you want to terrorize and force your beliefs on someone else why don't YOU run against Galloway?

Jim speaks for me as well...I don't support same-sex marriage. And don't tell me i need to supply birth control for free. Birth control is personal responsibility.

Terrorism of women give me a break. Galloway wins in the recall election, backdoor Donna doesn't have a prayer of being elected to the senate.

Mitch, you don't like to supply birth control for free, but how about the fact you're paying for prisoners to get Viagra? Now that's doing hard time.

The senate majority leader has come out and stated that 3 of these will probably be Recalled. But think of these four who backed Walker, after people read about Walkers next plan. Stealing foreclosure money from the poor to balance his budget. But we were told by Walker that his budget was in the black. Can some one explain to me if the budget is in the black why would Walker steal from the poor? The poor who already have taken a hit on the chin. The Walker story just gets better and better.

The Challenge might not stand. Well, you can't blame them for trying to stand in the way of the will of the people, can you? It wouldn't even surprise me to find out that they were out there placing "shills" during the signing process to try to undercut the validity of the procedure with multiple and bogus names to increase the "possiblility of catching multiple errors".
