Nearly 240 Wisconsin Public Service customers are without natural gas as crews work to repair a damaged gas line in Plover.
According to an email from WPS, on Wednesday around 3:15 p.m., a contractor reported they had damaged at natural gas line in the area of Ashwood Dr. and Golden Rd.
Six homes were evacuated. Those residents have since been allowed to return.
Natural gas was shut off while repairs are being made. WPS says some customers in the immediate area have been evacuated.
WPS expects to complete repairs and begin relighting natural gas appliances before midnight.
