Convicted Sex Offender to be Released in Wausau

A 45-year-old convicted sex offender is scheduled to be released in Marathon County on October 1.

According to a news release, the Wausau Police Department says Raymond Bailey, Jr. is scheduled to complete a 12 year sentence for 1st and 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. Bailey's conviction dates are from 1990 and 2002. Bailey will also spend 20 years on probation upon his release.

Police say he will be living in Transitional Housing near the Marathon County Courthouse and will be subject to the Department of Corrections Global Positioning System (GPS).
