Several area churches and community centers are opening their doors this Thanksgiving to make sure everyone has the chance to have a warm meal and some friendly company.
The Knights of Columbus' 35th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Clintonville Community Center starting at 11:30 am. There is no cost to attend, although donations are accepted. Reservations should be made by calling the Clintonville Community Center at 715-823-7667.
The public is invited to the 2nd annual free Thanksgiving dinner at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Pine River. Dinner will be served from 11am to 6 pm on Thanksgiving day. To arrange for delivery call 715-536-9368 or 715-536-6965 by Tuesday, Nov. 20. St. Paul Lutheran Church is located at W2608 County Road P.
The public is invited to Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 am to 2 pm at United Methodist Church, located at 709 W. Pine Street in New London.
St. Bronislava Church will hold their Community Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 am – 2 pm on Thanksgiving Day. The church is located at 3200 Plover Road.
The event is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
The Northern Lights Church of God in Rhinelander will offer Turkey, ham and all the fixing for a free will donation, on Thanksgiving from 1- 2:30 pm. The church is located 126 E. Timber Drive in Rhinelander.
The KOINONIA Alumni will host a Thanksgiving dinner for family and friend of the KOINONIA residents at the Residential Treatment Center. Snack will be served at 1 pm, dinner will be served at 3 pm. KOINONIA is located at 1991 Winnebago Street in Rhinelander.
The St. Mary's Corpus Christi Center in Tomahawk is inviting the public to join them on Thanksgiving Day from 11 am to 1 pm for a Thanksgiving meal. If you'd like to volunteer or need a ride to the dinner call 715-453-8637 or 715-453-2555 after 5 pm.
First Presbyterian Church will be serving Thanksgiving dinner from 11 am to 1 pm on Thanksgiving.
Home deliveries are available between 11 am and 1 pm. For deliveries call (715) 842-2469 between 3 pm and 6 pm. The church is located at 406 Grant Street in Wausau. Delivery order must be placed by November 20 at 6 pm.
