The Healthy Youth Coalition of Marinette and Menominee counties is reminding hunters that while it might seem like tradition to celebrate a first buck with beer, providing alcohol to minors is illegal.
According to WLUK-TV, 2,200 yellow warning stickers now cover alcohol packaging in Marinette County. The “sticker shock” campaign takes aim at those buying alcohol, then providing it to minors.
The penalty for selling or providing alcohol to a minor can reach $500.
The group plans on placing the stickers on alcohol again during Christmas time.
