Bike for Honor Flight Saturday in Wis. Rapids

On-site registration is still open for the 4th annual Bike for Honor Flight event Saturday, August 10 in Wisconsin Rapids. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Never Forgotten Honor Flight who's mission is to fly veterans to Washington DC to visit the memorials that stand in their honor.

Organizers hope to raise $28,000, which would bring their four year total to $100,000.

All rides start and finish at Veterans Park in Wisconsin Rapids. Distances include a 50-mile ride that includes beautiful county highways and some rolling hills throughout the beautiful countryside. There is also a Fun Ride is for all ages, abilities and is a family friendly ride. That ride is a more relaxed paced that goes along the Wisconsin River past the State Firefighters' memorial.

Registration for the 50-mile ride starts at 7:30 a.m. With the ride beginning at 8 a.m. The Fun Ride registration is at 9:30 am. With the ride beginning at 10 am.

The registration fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt & SAG support. Those 15-years-old and under are free with a paid adult. Participants are encouraged to obtain pledges or donations but it is not required to ride.

For every $250 you collect, your name will be entered into a drawing to be a Veterans Guardian on an upcoming Never Forgotten Honor Flight.
