NewsChannel 7 is learning more about an early morning fire at a house outside Wausau.
Shortly before midnight Tuesday, emergency crews were called to a house along Highway 52 in the Town of Wausau for reports of a structure fire.
A lieutenant with the Marathon County Sheriff's Department says three people inside the house were able to escape without injury.
A young boy was checked for smoke inhalation but did not need to be taken to a hospital.
A preliminary investigation shows the fire may have started in a bedroom, though an official cause has not yet been determined.

Unconfirmed reports also indicated two people were trapped inside, though NewsChannel 7 is still awaiting official word on whether there were any injuries.
Due to the location of the house, water had to be brought in via tankers. Several departments responded to the scene along with crews from Wisconsin Public Service and Salvation Army Disaster Services.
