A 23-year old Appleton man is in custody in Shawano County after the Sheriff's Department received two separate reports of disturbances involving a gun.

The first occurred Friday night just after 11:30 PM. Someone called the Sheriff's Department to report a person brandishing a gun in a tavern and while walking in the Village of Bowler. The person was no longer in the area when deputies arrived.

The second incident occurred Saturday about 3:20 AM. The Shawano County Sheriff's Department received a report of a disturbance involving a gun being pointed at a person and shots being fire in the Town of Morris. Deputies who initially responded were told that 23-year old Nicholas Loberger of Appleton pointed a gun at a person, fired several rounds and was still at the residence with guns and ammunition. Deputies were also told Loberger was the person who had been brandishing the gun during the previous incident in the Village of Bowler.

The Shawano County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team responded and was assisted by the Marathon County Sheriff's Office BEARCAT armored vehicle.

After deputies arrives, Loberger was located outside of the residence and was arrested. Loberger was booked in the Shawano County Jail on suspicion of disorderly conduct, going armed while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon and recklessly endangering safety.
