There are people in the area who aren't happy with Senator Edwards' visit, and some of them were out at the rallies Friday.
Bush-Cheney supporters here in Wausau and others in Stevens Point were out to rally support for their goal of keeping the president in office for four more years.
"I don't believe that John Kerry with his voting record and John Edwards with his inexperience are the people to guide this country in a time of turmoil," said Dennis Kuske, a Bush supporter in Wausau.
The demonstrators were not allowed into either campaign stop.
