One man is behind bars in the Lincoln County Jail after being caught in the act of a break-in by an off duty sheriff's deputy.
The sheriff says 48-year-old Glen Seefeldt was seen acting suspiciously in a neighborhood north of Merrill by Deputy Brian Haffemann while Haffemann was on his way to work.
The deputy followed Seefeldt into a home where he allegedly caught him with stolen goods.
Sheriff Tom Koth says it was very keen observation by the deputy and he followed his instincts, training and hunches. Koth says you don't have to be a deputy to stop a crime, and if you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood, call the local sheriff or police.
