A strong hurricane barreling toward Florida has work crews from our area on the move as well.

Crews from Wisconsin Public Service are on their way to the Sunshine State to help restore power in areas that may be hard hit by Hurricane Frances.

Energy officials from Florida have asked Wisconsin for help in anticipation of the storm damage.

Twenty-three electrical technicians from the electric company are on their way down there right now; many of them are from here in North Central Wisconsin.

The hurricane is expected to hit Florida Saturday.
