One year after a Fond Du Lac company was preparing to pack up and leave, the company is still in town and looking for people to fill jobs.
Hundreds of people stood in line for hours during a career fair yesterday. They filled out an application and got a short interview.
These jobs pay $10 per hour plus benefits. All former laid off employees were given a chance at the jobs.
Steve Fleming currently works at Mercury Marine. He says, "It feels good to hire people not only this week but bring in people today. They come in get interviewed and if they're quality, they can be hired on the spot maybe half of them even will."
Mercury Marine says 365 attended the job fair. The company is looking to fill 50 positions.
