Vibes Age Change

The beat will go on for a local nightclub, but not exactly how the owner had hoped it would.

Wausau's Vibes nightclub will be changing over to a non-alcoholic, 14 to 18-year-old cyber cafe.

The owner had hoped to make it a place for 16 to 20-year-olds, but the city doesn't allow that age level together in a club.

"I'm a little disappointed that a lot of people showed up there last in support of it and it got tabled, and nobody was able to voice their opinion," said Ryan Juers, Vibes owner.

Wausau city clerk, Kelly Michaels Saager, says the city is encouraging Wausau residents to write in to the city if they have any opinion on the ordinance.
