A senator from Illinois is hoping people here in central Wisconsin want to hear what he has to say about the upcoming election.
Sen. Dick Durbin is in the Badger State stumping for presidential candidate John Kerry.
Kerry's supporters say that, despite that fact that he's not from Wisconsin, Durbin's home state of Illinois is similar to Wisconsin and faces many of the same challenges.
"Kerry and Edwards can't be everywhere," said Jerry Madison, a local Kerry supporter. "So, if you're gonna get the message out, you've got to have people who can do it and Durbin would be an excellent one."
Durbin served with both Kerry and John Edwards in the U.S. Senate.
