Celebrating Trees in Wisconsin

Tim Womick, better known as the "Tree Guy," paid a visit to the Marathon County Public Library Tuesday afternoon. Womick educated kids on the importance of trees through an energetic presentation.

The "Tree Guy" uses the sounds of his drum made from a tree and discusses issues such as pollution, planting trees, and how to keep forests clean.

"The forests of Wisconsin are recognized for their ecological value, for their social value, and their economical value," says Tim Womick, "The Tree Guy."

The DNR sponsors the year long celebration, including the "Tree Guy's" visit to Wausau. Tim will travel throughout the Badger State this month, discussing the issues, and attempting to plant his love of trees into his young audiences.
