A police chase ended in eastern Marathon County Saturday night with shots being fired. The incident happened around 7 p.m. on Willow Lane just off of County Road D.

According to the Sheriff's Department, they received a call that a fight between 10 to 15 people broke out at the wildlife campgrounds.

"When one of my patrol cars pulled into the scene, he met a vehicle that attempted to allude him," said Lt. Scott Parks, Marathon County Sheriff's Department. "He pursued it for a slight bit, the operator of that vehicle fled from that vehicle and during a foot chase, shots were fired."

Parks said the deputy is unsure if the shots came from the person he was chasing or from another person near the scene.

No arrests have been made and no injuries were reported. The Sheriff's Department is not releasing any more information at this point.
