Celebrating history was the order of the day in Plover, as well. A group of people gathered there to celebrate Yellowstone Trail Days.

The trail was a highway that ran from Boston to Seattle by way of Plover during the early 1900's.

"On its way through Plover it made some history," said Alice Ridge, Yellowstone Trail Days Attendee. "And so people are interested in recovering and recreating the history of this old trail."

The trail was complete in the Plover area by 1915. It followed what is now Highway B into town and then headed north on what is now business Highway 51.

The trail was mostly used by automobiles; many of those antique cars were on hand Saturday, including a Model T.
