Karyl and Henry Hahn are spending some time this weekend at the Hope Lodge in Marshfield. It's a place that they have grown accustomed to over the last few months as Karyl battles multiple myeloma.

"When we walked in here for the first time and saw the facilities, we were just amazed," says Karyl Hahn.

So many guests refer to the lodge as their home away from home. It's a place where cancer patients can stay during outpatient cancer treatments, and it's at no cost.

The Hahns travel from Eagle River, which is well over a two hour trip both ways, so it's definitely a place that's providing a little peace of mind as they go through their difficult journey.

"It's a godsend for me, I can't really help her, that's for the nurses and doctors, I’m just there holding her hand," says Henry Hahn.

Guests past and present were invited to the lodge for an anniversary celebration, enjoying food and the company of each other. For more information on the lodge, call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345.
