Snowmobile trails in Vilas County are set to open Wednesday, December 16th. Riders will be able to hit the trails starting at 8 a.m.

County trail officials want you to remember to be careful because it is so early in the season.

They recommend you don't cross any lakes until they've been clearly marked.

It's also a good idea to call ahead for trail conditions.
